5.6 Build 450.8: Info on update released July 30, 2003
Special notes about this update
- 450.8 is considered a minor maintenance release over 450.7 addressing the following few items:
wcFTP
- FTP Server fix for certain FTP clients who use both passive and non-passive commands in their logic.
Certain FTP clients like, WS_FTP, will use the PASV command to start a download.
If the download fails for some good reason, WS_FTP will try to use the non-passive PORT command to repeat the process. This was causing a PASSIVE opened socket to be left in a CLOSE_WAIT
state and on occasion, left the FTP User hang in Wildcat. This is now fixed.
- Added support for FILE_ID.DIZ checking in FTP file uploads.

wcSMTP
- Fixed a HELO vs EHLO issue in wcSMTP under SSL mode.
- Added support for E-mail with Microsoft WORD base64 encoded attachments.
